Often it's the banal experiences that are the most memorable. This story reflects on a common experience: hanging out in Korea as the only non-Korean person with no language ability, just vibes.
If you have any stories you'd like to share, feel free to send them to e2inkorea@gmail.com. We'll happily review and edit the story into our own voice so don't worry about being identified. Thanks for joining us!

ICN arrival, first steps into the country, the first people you meet, and the ability to be whomever you want to be. It's all a part of the process. As a curmudgeonly 20-something-year-old, this was my experience.

The end of Orientation meant the last time I'd be seeing the friends I'd made and the first time I'd be meeting my coteacher and going to the island where I would be working. Tough for someone with a bad attitude like me.

Old fashioned toilets and IBS are a tough cocktail, particularly when on the clock. This episode is about trying to find comfort in chaos, in more ways than one.

Share Your Stories
Over the course of our pod you may notice a narrative thread, a beginning, a middle, and an end of the story. While this is the framework, it would be an absolute shame to limit this pod to just my stories. After all, I'm here for the community. So, if you're an E2 out here in Korea and you have an interesting story you'd like to have shared without it being able to be traced back to you (because, as we know, the juiciest stories are the ones we probably shouldn't be telling anyone), sent us an outline at e2inkorea@gmail.com. Tell us what happened, who was there, and how you felt. We'll screen the story and re-write it into my voice so as to provide you cover while getting your story out there for the masses.
Otherwise, if you have anthing else you want to say, feel free to send me a message. Again, this is for the community! That being said, have a good one and happy teaching!
